On October 22, 2026, the newspaper confirmed leakage of all Passport mailing records, up to about 253,000 members: katakana names, area, email, gender, age band and subscription details. Card, phone, birth-date, bank and password data were excluded. Its fifth report, updated October 25, described paused mailings and stricter account-lock conditions.
