The Bird SDK requires PHP 8.2+ and a PSR-18 client. Install messagebird/sdk, initialize with BIRD_API_KEY and let the key determine the region. Legacy MessageBird accounts and keys remain separate.

Scope: Only customer-side PHP integration was verified. The provider platform’s PHP2Shell response, impact and remediation are unconfirmed.

Check the PHP client and runtime, and test installation and authentication in a sandbox. Ask the runtime administrator about PHP updates.
