Security products and research assistance provided by Theori Inc. under the Xint brand.

The October 21 response article provides php2shell_check.php to inspect PHP settings in the application's web runtime rather than relying on CLI settings. Its output alone cannot establish whether a vendor backport has been applied.

What users should do

Follow the official instructions, protect the check with a token and run it alongside the target application. Check each virtual host or FPM pool, remove the script afterwards and verify patch status against vendor package information.
